16 or so tonight.  A big group which got faster as the evening progressed.  Davey put in a 31mph stint on the last lap which means I currently sit on the top of the Strava leader board with a 5.23 lap!  This will only last until everybody else uploads their rides.....

Well done to all last night, was very steady and controlled - as soon as the triathletes learn to ride their bikes properly we'll hit some really good times!!

Lol. A bit harsh davey.  Everyones fine,  just david murray needs to come off the gas on the initial thrust on the front and build into it, im sure if we wanted on the first lap we could smash it and put people in a box,  but that doesn't help anyone.mad how fast relative to feel it felt, just shows the warm weather is a huge factor.  I need to hit the 10mile on warm day and get sub 21 im sure.but think times run out this year.

I know I'm only joking (ish!) just doing my bit for roadie/triathlete relations!!

Seriously though people need to remember to go through smoothly, by all means increase the pace gradually when on the front but the initial move to the front should not be a sprint and going through and out of corners back off a bit especially when there is a large group otherwise there will be unnecessary splits. BTW Vince your turns were silky smooth

I think when your feeling strong and due to the hugely competitive spirits of triathletes, and id never ever knock one cause I was one, anyways they like to put the hurt on other athletes, which is a pretty good mentality to have to be honest, but even though you know your feeling strong, you should have etiquette and like you say,  by all means throw down the speed, but in a gradual/efficient way.
I didnt feel smooth, I felt like a scared bag of spanners on every sharp turn.  Was a great group of riders fair plays, especially the guys who smashed pbs.
Ps,  i got kom for loop due to being off the back by 3 or 4 seconds after a turn where it was me and 3 or 4 others distanced after a roundabout, I  jumped back up to all you guys and obviously was a little faster overall on a lap. Very rare I get koms on the flat.
