9 starters from Brackla this morning on a day when the sun shone from start to finish, Paul N, Scott, Nando, Carl, Karl,Tim, Rich D, Rich B and myself. Unfortunately Mr Bowmer only managed to make it to the M4 at Pencoed before shredding his tyre on the razor sharp potholes underneath the motorway.
Swift progress was then made up the valley to Aberdare before the rapid descent into Glynneath. Coffee was alfresco for the first time this year in Mc Donald?s. We were joined here by Ros who had been due to ride the PTW 13 mile time trial but had forgotten to take his cycling shoes. Despite driving home and starting his ride 30 minutes after he he bunch he managed to catch us.
The group stayed together all the way home for a punishing but enjoyable 70 mile ride.
Congratulations also to the OVW trio who managed to take first place in the PTW 13 mile time trial this morning 💪
