Another mixed group ride of pacers and chasers, me Rich L Karl Mark J Mark R Paul Nigel Rob and Vaughan. The first part of the ride was ridden in two groups with Rob and Vaughan in the front group and the rest of us in the grupetto. Vaughan paying the price for riding with Rob later in the ride. The weather turned out better than forecast, we were helped by a tailwind out and felt the strength of the wind as soon as we turned from Penarth for Sully and Barry. Good coffee stop in Romilly as usual and then the ride for home. The group quickly broke up again round the airport and I sat up in Rhoose for Vaughan. He came off my wheel somewhere between there and St Athan. We waited some time in St Athan but he rode straight through and we eventually picked him up in Llantwit Major. Me and Rich L rode for a while with him from there before he tailed off and we then rode in through the lane with Mark R. See you all next week.
