« on: September 13, 2018, 07:07:26 PM »
The cyclo cross season starts this Sunday at Llanishen High school. A full entry list starting with the youngsters through to seniors. Worth a trip down to offer support, they usually has refreshment available.

Right again Tom, and a young Aled Boast is riding in the under 10. They are all very entertaining, I will ride down and support all of them, may see you next Tuesday with a full report.

Excellent series of events at Cardiff today. Started with the under six category, about twenty riders of all abilities, one with Mum running alongside, big wheels were an advantage on this fairly flat non technical course might have got a little muddy later on. Riders representing clubs for mostly South Wales, a good turnout, good for Cycling in Wales.

I raced again Ron, managed a 12th position in the Vets 40 cat. Back at it again this season wearing my OVW club kit of course, so keep a look out for me if you go to watch again..........

Hi Dave, no? not sure who that is? And I'm not sure of the venue, it looks like it might be Singleton Park, Swansea, last year maybe?

I have attached my action picture from Round 1 this year, kindly taken by my Mrs (support crew, spares carrier, flapjack provider!!)

Hello, I'm looking to get into Cx and looking at the Welsh cx website I'm only getting dates and events for 2016.

Have you got a link to something a little more recent?

Thanks.

www.britishcycling.org.uk

Click 'events' just under the banner, then drop down menu on the left for cyclocross. Then fill in info nearest races

Vet 40s/50s and women’s race 12:15 for ~40 mins, Senior and Junior Men 13:30 for ~ 60 mins, enter online and save yourself £3 (and time and trouble). Entries usually close Thursday night, check the BC site and if you’re interested join the Welsh Cyclocross Facebook group.

Thanks.

Yeah,  I've tried to join the Welsh cyclocross FB page but no one has accepted my request.  It's been pending for about 4 weeks sadly.  I even pm'd the admin but have had no reply.

Anyway,  I've discovered it starts about 09:30 and your info has also helped.
I'm going along to spectate,  take the dog for a walk and see if my little lad is interested in doing it too.

I'm not intending to race this season,  however I'm looking to do most if not all the races next September onwards.  I'm also looking to do the three peaks cyclocross race next year too.

Thanks for your help.
Dazz 😁 👍
