For those who can make it tomorrow, Steve C and I are going to meet them in Chepstow at 1030. We are going on the train ( meet us at Bridgend at 0850) or you can drive to Chepstow and park up if you wish. Apart from offering our support, we will be able to ride on roads we don't normally get a chance to go on!

Time to give you an update on how we're getting on
Day one https://www.relive.cc/view/1787962469
We set off on the Monday to drive down to land ends staying about 5 miles from the start. On Tuesday for the start the weather was thick fog which cleared just in time for the photograph at the signpost. Which is £10 for 2 copies. Good pace setting off and it is lumpy in Cornwall.

Day 2 https://www.relive.cc/view/1790213059
Less lumps compared to day 1 but just seemed to go on longer. The highlight of the trip now for Keith is how much can he eat on the bike. And when is the next food stop. The highlight of the day was going up and over cheddar gorge.

Day 3 https://www.relive.cc/view/1792222958
Coming out of bath was a tough climb i underestimated how long that climb was for the timing to meet Mr madeley and Mr Curry in chepstow. Keith forgot his Mars bar today which were delivered to him yesterday all 48 of them. Was nice to ride with them both for some more encouragement and advice .
Some cheeky climbs today.the rear tyre blew out 2 miles from our hotel. Support crew miles away which meant a 2 mile walk. Both still going strong keeping a steady pace...new tyre on and ready for tomorrow's ride where mal will be riding with us.

Day 5 Haydock to Penrith
https://www.relive.cc/view/1796830402
It was nice leaving haydock and moving further north. The scenery was constantly changing with the Lake District looming on the left. We made good time into kendal then we had the climb out of kendal over shap. Keith is still enjoying his food en route.

Day 6 Penrith to Glasgow.
https://www.relive.cc/view/1799294145
Watching the weather report Sunday was going to be a wet day and low temperatures. It wasn't too bad starting off with light rain but damp. The route today went up along side the A74. The road surface was great and it was like having the road to ourselves we had hardly any cars pass us. It was great to cross the border into Scotland. Today ride was quick with our fastest average of the week at 18mph.
Only 3 days to go. 8)

Day 7 Glasgow to Fort William
https://www.relive.cc/view/1801221931
Started off in Glasgow was fun navigating through the town.
The constant head wind didn't help meaning it felt like a slow tough slog. The scenery changed quickly from a city to the highlands then dropping down to the coast.

Day 8 Fort William to Invershin
https://www.relive.cc/view/1803571671
The weather today was over cast with mostly a tail wind which helped in places epically for the climb out of loch Ness. Didn't realise how big loch ness is. The miles flew by today where most of the scenery was taken up with different Lochs.
Keith still going strong on his strict diet of steak and chips and No vegatables ::)

Day 9 is here only 103miles to go seems like ages ago since we set off from Land's End.
