[Andy H]

Newcomer to cycling or just getting back into it after a layoff?
Not sure if you have the speed or fitness for our Sunday club runs?
This is a session aimed at you!
Come along for an easy paced ride as well as coaching on group riding. Build your fitness with the aim of joining our mid-week and regular Sunday rides.

All new riders welcome, men, ladies and juniors (14-17) (Parental consent required or accompanied by a parent)

The next ride will start from Physique gym, Brackla CF31 2LL at 1:00pm Saturday 16th September
If necessary we'll cycle down to Bridgend Industrial estate for a short coaching session on group riding and to assess ability. Followed by a ride of around 90 minutes.
You do not need to be a club member to come on these runs. (applies to 3 rides for insurance purposes)

Please bring your bike in good working order and whilst I am happy to help change a puncture you will need to bring your own inner tubes or means to repair a puncture.
Helmets are compulsory as the coaching component requires it.

At 10 minutes to 1, Nigel and I had decided it was probably better if nobody turned up for today's novices ride, such was the weather!
However one hardy soul did turn up and Tracy joined us for a quick spin around Bridgend and the lanes. The weather was horrendous, torrential downpour pretty much the whole hour BUT we WERE, OUT CYCLING. Tracy was happy riding in a small group and we kept up a reasonable pace, certainly enough for the Amblers group and hopefully we will see Tracy out on a Sunday ride soon.
Thanks again to Nigel for joining us.

Well done-I was making my miserable way into Cardiff City at just that time and you are definitely not over stating how bad the weather was!
