25er's ride 25 Jan 0930
« on: January 23, 2015, 05:17:56 PM »
Weather looks reasonable for this time of year so hope to see some new riders out. Few riders out last week wearing Santa's gifts, have to look the part at least? Andrew sorry to hear about your injury, running 75 miles a week is maybe a little too far, good news though, Shwt is waiting for you and fair weather Sian.

Fine weather as promised today, waited around for a few minutes before heading East. Three riders turned up late, one at 9 38, after trying to explain where they could meet the Pacers, Amblers group, four of us headed to Miskin, Peterson and on to Hannahs café. Roy, Neil and Marshal out today, we will be doing the RR 1 in two weeks time. Can we please have a map of the new course

New RR1 course as ridden today, worked out as 50.1 miles

http://connect.garmin.com/course/8667241

Same start, out via Laleston, to Ewenny where we turn towards Corntown. Turn right after shop/cafe along Wick Road carrying straight on at top of climb.
Pick up B4625 at Wick, continue to roundabout at end of Club 10TT course, continue straight on to mini roundabout at Pentre Cwrt and circle back.
B4270 to Cowbridge and following old RR1 route back around to Ewenny and repeat circuit including mini roundabout at Pentre Cwrt. Up primrose Hill and finish at Hannah's cafe

I will also post route nearer the time

Ha-I should have looked at the route-I thought I had to go round Ogmore/Southerndown on the first lap(and did!)

There were two new options for the RR1, this was the first and seemed the most straightforward. Worked out bang on 50, so I think we'll stay with this for the actual event.

If possible the 25er's will do the course next Sunday. can we have a review of the Rules on a Club Run page for new members, because of the increase in membership getting to Physiques early to "sign on" is a must.
