I'm here Rob  :D

I took a wrong bloody turn, descended that climb only to turnaround at the bottom and climb it again (it was much steeper than the other way up).

That's about the best of the possible outcomes Jason. Although perhaps a puncture would have been better than climbing the way you had to after wrong turn. Did Andy find you in the end...or is he now the one who's AWOL?

Andy found me as I was climbing up towards the first car park.

He said that the mud had washed over the yellow arrow giving directions up the turning, I was oblivious and just went straight on.

This means that I'm going to have to get faster at climbing so I can keep a visual on the group.

The link doesn't always work Jason - but I had a view by going to "Strava Flyby" and inserting  my own activity number - I love the delay when you get to the bottom and realise you've got to go back up again. Meanwhile Andy makes a half hearted attempt down before returning. And the 2nd time when Andy properly heads down to seek you out (in fairness it was a 30 minute climb and lethal descent), Allan and I appear to dart off in the other direction like we can't wait to get away (good clubmates eh!?!). Watching on I reckon if you and Andy had continued on the A472 we'd all have bumped into each other again around about Blackwood. It was certainly looking that way until you guys headed in completely the opposite direction back through Risca to Basseleg!

Rob ~ It was a little odd when I got to the bottom and had that delay before having to climb back up.

When I was at the bottom knowing I had taken a wrong turn I switched to the maps on the Garmin and back tracked, the odd thing is that it showed no turnings at all. I had to zoom right in on my current location and slowly move backwards which revealed the turning I should have taken. Doh.
