Chasers Sunday September 8th

Suggested route for Sunday:-

https://www.strava.com/routes/21551176

As we've had two longer hilly weeks I suggest a simple, flat out and back to Swansea Marina. Out via Stormy Down return via Cefn Cribbwr.

N.B. I post this optimistically as I'm racing a triathlon at Woburn Abbey on Saturday and while I intend travelling back in the afternoon I may not be in any state to cycle Sunday morning. If I don't make it, will somebody please take charge!?

As expected legs totally trashed after racing this morning, so I'm afraid I won't be out tomorrow.

Route is fairly easy to follow and several riders will have done it before but feel free to ride an alternative route if you prefer.

Seven out yesterday:- Richard L, Karl, Lee, Chris G, Ade, Rob (new rider) & me.  Deviated from Andy's suggested route at Laleston avoiding the A48 and taking the lanes to Pylle. the usual blast along Harbour Way and then up the Dulais Valley through Crynant and onto Ystradgynlais.  We then headed down the Swansea Valley to Pontardawe, up over Rhos and down into Neath for the usual coffee stop.

Again the usual blast back along Harbour Way, onto Pylle, Cefn Cribbwr, Aberkenfig and back to Bridgend.  Strong and fast turns on the front by Chris, Richard, Karl and Rob throughout the ride with me lurking in the wheels.  Weather excellent with broken fair weather cumulus cloud cover burning back to give a fine and sunny day and although cool at the beginning of the ride it soon warmed up.  Wind SW(?) light force 1 and excellent visibility. All in a great day out.
