Wick traffic lights
« on: July 01, 2019, 04:45:15 PM »
I've spoken to the site manager at DW Homes in Wick, today.
The final small section of pavement, kerbing and a bus shelter are the outstanding roadworks tasks.
All materials bar the concrete, which is arriving tomorrow, are on-site.
The bus shelter erection does not require use of traffic control (lights).
In the usual manner the site manager did not know whether it would be this week or next week when the work was completed, but 'the end is nigh' whichever.

Lights still remain and no work today so likely to be there tomorrow with just a 10m or so stretch still restricted - this leaves plenty of room for work-arounds....
Have to give my apols again - in Swansea tomorrow and Prague next week.

I took a drive out to Wick...the lights are gone, but they've just thrown a load of chippings down on the St brides side of Wick! Not sure what the condition of the road will be like tomorrow.

No lights and the new road surface has bedded in well because of the heat.
