Chasers 28 April
« on: April 25, 2019, 07:57:50 PM »
Good luck Andy (and others) riding La Doyenne this Sunday so down to me for the route this Sunday for the chasers. We'll head out west and thankfully the wind will have dropped significantly from that forecast for Saturday and good luck to anyone doing Carten on Saturday 😬.

Out to Margam, up the Afan Valley up to Cimla and down to Neath and then the Rhos Alltwen Glais loop back to Neath. Coffee stop in Costa Neath and then most direct route home, Briton Ferry, Harbour Way, Pyle, Stormy Down.

Around 60 miles with just a few climbs. Hope to see you all Sunday.

Rick, we stopped just down the road (New Street) at Bar Ten 21 last week.

Good coffee and cakes and excellent service, even put ice in our water bottles when filling. I know you won't need ice this Sunday!!

7 of us out today
Me, Mark Bryant, Chris Goodwin, Richard Lewis, Lee Stoneham, Paul Longthorn, Mark Jones
Chilly out there this morning, big change in the weather since the sunshine of last weekend. Followed the route as planned all working well together over the mix of flat and climbs. Good coffee stop in Neath at Bar Ten 21 where the Chocolate and Orange Cake proved the popular choice. Mark peeled off in Neath to tackle Cimla in the opposite direction to that ridden earlier and over Croeserw. Then the usual dash for home for the rest of with Chris looking strong on the home leg.
Enjoyable ride, thanks all, see you all next weekend.

Richard
