For this week (week No.1) and next week (week No.2) the sign-on time is 18.15hrs., with a start time of 18.30hrs.   All subsequent weeks through to September 6th. will sign-on at 18.45hrs. and the events start will be 19.00hrs.
All competitors please note :-  Terry Anthony reports that the road surface on the approach to the turn roundabout and near the new housing development in Wick is badly broken up, so be very careful when riding through these areas.   I will carry out an "on the day" rick assessment before the event.
I look forward to seeing you all at the start tomorrow .
Cheers, Norman.  Competitions Secretary.

Norman

Sorry but can't make it this week or next Thursday.

I'll be happy to do the 'turn' signs for the rest of the season.

Norman, with all that was going on at the finish today I clean forgot about my number. I will bring it to club tomorrow. Sorry about that.

Any news about how Mark is doing ?

Thanks all for your help tonight. A hard way to learn from a school boy error! I've been patched up - nothing more than cuts and bruises +, unfortunately, a slightly dislocated clavicle. It may settle into place when the swelling goes down, otherwise it will need some intervention. I have an appointment with the specialist on 8 May to assess it. In the meantime, some enforced rest! Thanks again to everyone, especially Steve & Mark.

Glad your OK Mark. Bet your aching this morning and have a headache. Good job you had a good quality helmet on. Get well soon and hope the bike is OK also.

Great to hear nothing too bad resulted, Mark - let's hope the shoulder eases back into place without intervention.
Thinking about your unfortunate mishap, there are three things that could benefit everyone: first aid training, wearing a helmet and not adjusting your bike computer while riding.

Steve, Nige, the helmet certainly did its job. Already improved from last night, but the left shoulder & lacerations on the right hand will be a problem for a little while. How soon can I get on the turbo......? 😉
