Here's the route:

Coychurch - Pencoed - Brynna - out towards Talbot Green and up through Smilog Forest - Glynogwr - Blackmill - Llangeinor and down to Brynmenyn - Tondu and on to Maesteg. There have been road works in Brynmennyn and if they are still there we could elect to cut across to the Maesteg road through Bettws. From Maesteg to Bryn down the Afan Valley to Port Talbot. Margam - Water St to Kenfig - Porthcawl and coffee stop in the Broomwagon - Lalleston and home. 54 miles with a few hills thrown in. Less miles if we take the short cut across to the Maesteg road. Should be easy after last weeks 62 miles taking in the Rhigos and Bwlch.

I've created the route in Garmin, hope that is good for everyone. Happy to have a go at producing it in Strava next time.

I had forgotten about the Elvis weekend until Dave W mentioned it earlier. I think we'll be ok with the Broomwagon as it is tucked out of the way. Alternatively when we come done the Afan Valley we could go over to Remos on Aberavon seafront. Can discuss before we set off on Sunday. It also sounds like the road through Brynmennyn could be closed on Sunday for the new housing estate so we'll cut across to the Maesteg road through Bettws.

Or a Parc slip stop!
Is the Garmin route locked as it states I don't have the privileges to view it.  :-(

I think you need to be signed into Garmin first and then click on the link, try that.

Ok so route as posted with 2 changes. From Llangeinor we'll go through Bettws to the Maesteg road and on the way home we'll miss out Porthcawl and have a coffeee stop in Parc Slip.

Enjoyable ride today with good company. Good numbers with 11 of us setting off from Physique.
RB
Steve Curry
Chris Goodwin
Tom
Nick L
Hannah
Nick L
Neil
Lea
Chris Reed
Matt

Around 50 miles for me today, I forgot to restart my Garmin after the coffee stop, and lots of climbing. Followed the posted route with the 2 planned deviations. Steve and Chris G only planned to do a short ride and peeled off at Blackmill after the climbs up through Smilog and Glynogwr. The rest of us pressed on and on to the climbs of Llangeinor, Bettws and Bryn. Didn't see too much of Matt who spent most of the time off the front and then kicked for home from Taibach. Lea peeled off at Margam for Porthcawl and home. That left 7 for the coffee stop at Parc Slip where we met up with the Amblers, good coffee and a good wedge of bara brith. After 2 weeks of climbs maybe a flatter route next week, especially given we'll kick off the day with the hill climb. Thanks all for the ride today.

As there were 11 of us that means I left someone out! Sorry Tony!

Thanks for the double mention RB 😉 The headwind wasn't too bad in all honesty Chris, steady away! Great ride today, really enjoyed it and as Rich said...great company. Same banter again next week please 👍
