« on: September 22, 2017, 09:08:17 PM »
Just wondering if there's a plan for this Sunday yet? It'll be my last ride here before I head back to uni so I'd really like to ride with you guys!

10 out, and the weather treated us well. With me were harpo, Steve C, Gregg, Mark R, Reece, Nigel, Karl, Dylan, Paul Rosser, and John Edwards.

Hillfest of a route from harpo - Fordd-y-Gyffraith, Croeserw, Bwlch, Penrhys and Llanwonno. A bit misty on top of the Bwlch, but otherwise dry. Strobg riding by all, and a notable return to form by Mark Rosser who powered up the climbs. Dylan also climbing well, particularly on the Bwlch where I'm sure he'll have a PB.

John Edwards had a mechanical at the top of the Bwlch - sorry you missed ret of the ride John - good to ride with you again. The rest of us became increasingly weary as the climbs accumulated, and Llanwonno for particularly painful for all. As usual the descent via Ynysybwl was lovely/fast/dangerous (too many inconsiderate drivers), and we had a prolonged coffee stop at Ponty.

THereafter things weny awry. Someone forgot to unclip at the lights in Ponty with predictable consequences. There was then a mad race up Uni Glam climb (guilty), and then some of the peleton followed me on my cycle path shortcut via Arthur Llewellyn Jenkins - during this escapade Dylan was lost - hope you got back OK (and see you when you're next back from Uni).  The group then left me at Miskin to go into Vale Lanes country. I'm afraid I had a cottage pie to make, so had to get home.

Good laugh today - and great route.

I also had a good look at everyone's legs today - and without doubt, mine are the nicest. 8)
