Free hub damage from cassette
« on: August 17, 2017, 01:30:32 PM »
I have a set of Vittoria wheels with an (what seems like the norm on road bikes) aluminium freehub. I've noticed that the 105 cassettes I use eventually start to slip slightly and dig into the softer freehub metal leaving huge gouges. I don't really want to end up spending a silly amount of money on a cassette like the Red 22 where all the cogs are on the same carrier. Anyone have any other ideas on what I could do to stop the damage?
