As you'll shortly see from the AGM minutes, it's been decided to rename the Amblers to something that more accurately reflects the group's rides. The average pace will be advertised as 17mph and the current ethos will remain the same, I.e., there'll always be a coffee stop and we will endeavour to keep the group together and wait at junctions etc for anyone slightly off the pace and assist with mechanicals. We will also 'strongly' encourage anyone riding with us regularly who is capable of riding with the Pacers to move up! For tomorrow's ride I propose that we join the Pacers for Andy's jaunt to Swansea Marina. If the pace gets a bit too tasty, I intend to ride at a speed that the slowest group rider can manage (which might be me)
so don't be put off by the mixed ride.
After tomorrow, we will return to riding as a separate group, except for a few select occasions when numbers or the route makes a joint ride the best option. See you tomorrow.
