A rather nice lady called to club last Friday and said she was considering the purchase of and electric bike and wanted to know if we had anyone interested in doing the same so she would have company on her rides.
I told her we had a club record on an e-bike with Tony Mansel who rode on on our 'What Do You Think You're On - Speed Competition' but I was not aware of any other interest. I could think of a few who might be interested but it is up to them to come forward and either speak to me or Teresa to make contact with this lady again. We both enjoyed her company and I am sure she is not interested in racing. Only enjoying the countryside and coffee and cake !
I expressed some concern about her riding in a group of none e-bike users. I felt that, under power, the braking would not be as sharp.
I would welcome any observations/comments since this is possibly the future for some (not me folks but you cannot tell ) and could add another section to the club activities.
