Popular event with a full field.  Hoping Norman gets a ride as he is down as a reserve.

Good luck all

[norman james]

Thanks Teresa.  I do have a ride in place of number 103 so I could finish last!

[Steven]

Great to see some Oggies on the start sheet who don't normally ride many open events - the weather will improve so enjoy!

Conditions were better than they appeared during the warm-up.  It was quite windy especially on the return leg.  These were good results, but terry was so disappointed to have missed a " 23" by just 2 secs!

[Andy H]

Well done, all!

I'm sure Terry will use that disappointment to fuel an attack on a '23' next season

[Teresa]

Looks like a first Open TT for Terry and Neil.  Well done both on excellent times.  Both very close to a minute faster than the midweek 10.

Mark's one outing of the year was extremely close to last years time.  Definitely got to come along to the mid weeks next year.

and finally - so glad Norman got a ride.  Correct me if I am wrong, but I think you are still beating your vets standard.

[Mark Pope]

Something that seems to have gone under the radar is Neil Poulton's fantastic result. Less than a year ago he was a 25er and came dead last - by some distance, in the Club Hill Climb Champs. He's now doing 22 minute 10 mile TTs. A lesson to quite a few of us I believe. Chapeau Neil!

[Teresa]

Mark - You have fallen for the 'two people with the same name trick'  Easily done as it is not the commonest name around

The Neil Poulton (NeilRhys) who rode yesterday is a newer member who has been steadily improving at the Club mid weeks.

[Mark Pope]

Ah, I thought it was an epic improvement! I should have known you'd have picked that up!!

[norman james]

Tnanks Teresa, I did gain my Vets Standard by 50 seconds - and I'm delighted!

[Andy H]

Very well done, Norman
