Dry and no wind tonight. A tidy group set off and was instantly joined by the ONIT team.  I think we numbered 14 at one point.  The good news was that you only hit the front every lap and a half.  The bad news was that it was nice, steady and rapid...

Tell me about it, with the concertina effect I was flat out just to keep within the bunch.  only managed 6 laps tonight.
but hey!  dry roads at least.

Too rapid for me. Only managed a couple of laps in the group, the rest on my own. Perfect weather .

I think there were too many riders, I got VERY cold between turns. It was a bit quick in parts with a bit of kicking through at the front. It would have been better if all the riders had been there for debriefing at the start. It would be a shame if anyone was put off by last night. I will repost the mission statement for winter chaingang;
"No kicking through, no last lap smash ups and no smashing it to bits on the front". (DC Sep 2014).

Agree with you Chris; I managed 7.25 laps with the group but it was not the expected 'steady, winter' pace and after the ride had already decided that these sessions are too hot for me if that is the group speed. I'm not complaining - just being realistic about my own abilities (or lack of .. LOL) and cannot / should not join the gang at these speeds.

All comments noted, it was unfortunate that the groups came together without the opportunity to brief.  I would have split the group otherwise...

I suspect that it won't happen again this winter.
