Mid-Week plans week of 10/11
« on: November 09, 2014, 06:18:02 PM »
As I think Carrie and Mark P will know already I can't make Tuesday this week but still plan to get out twice if possible.I can do Wednesday(if you can make this Mark+Carrie I can make it a time that suits you).I'm also hoping to get out for a pre club dinner spin on Friday morning.I think Paul was planning a Tuesday ride so there are lots of options.I hope a few other members can join  us-post here if you can!

I can ride Tuesday and Wednesday this week. Tuesday is forecast to be windy and wet but I'm still happy to ride either or both. I'd rather start at 10 am though. Any thoughts on a later start?

Great route proposed for Wednesday by Carrie. The start time of 10 am makes life a lot easier for me too. See you there.

Regarding the route on Wednesday, my proposal was to go from Cowbridge to Welsh St Donats, Peterston, Fairwater. Radyr and then by road to Pontypridd due to the Taff Trail being muddy/wet and full of leaves.  From Ponypridd the plan was to then take the tarmac cycle track to Llantrisant and then ride to Pontyclun, Llanharry and back to Cowbridge through the lanes.  Hope this sounds ok.

4 of us met up in Cowbridge-Carrie,Mark P,Terry&myself. As planned we went through Welsh St Donats,Peterston,Fairwater,Radyr and along the old road to Pontypridd. Then we took the new cycle path all the way to Llantrisant/Talbot Green. We had a coffee stop in Pontycun(nice place but closed Sundays)then back via Brynsadler,Llanhari,City. Not a huge ,ileage but quite a bit of climbing and it got sunnier and sunnier!Good ride and company!

Thanks Tom. A good ride - I managed 50 miles - and great company. Sorry about the slightly muddy section!
