Social ride Sunday 5th June

I'll be out to lead a ride this Sunday, usual format, around 40 miles at the pace of the slowest riders, at least one coffee stop and nobody left behind.

I'll post  route before the weekend.

37 miles and 1800ft of ascent, so a few bumps but nothing too hard.

Weather not looking great but i'll be out whatever, just make sure to dress for the conditions

I'm recovered from the stomach bug, done couple of rides so should be Ok for tomorrow

Wasn't the weather or a stomach bug.  But my failing health failed me again!  Getting sick, [sic] of this!

Hi Bob, sorry to hear that and hope you feel better soon!
The weather, as forecast wasn't great. It rained all the way on my drive down and was raining as I waited in Brackla. It looked like it was going to be a solo ride until Scott appeared. We set off in the rain and rode the planned route, apart from a detour (adding a few miles) as the map on my Garmin didn't match the map in my head. It looked as if the rain was easing but it was a 'false dawn' and we were glad of the couple of rises to keep us working and warm
Scott rode strong all morning and particularly on the short sharp rises.
Pace was a bit quicker than the normal Social ride and thoroughly enjoyed even in the rain.
63.1km in 2 hours 35 mins and did I mention, it rained!

Well done Scott & Andy.  No idea what laid me out.  Was putting on my shoes and almost ready to go when the lights went out!  Really missed going yesterday.  Next week......
