So the decision was made to ride as one group today and it was a good one!
Out were, Dave & Keith, Paul, Nigel, Richard, Karl, Paul L, Mark R, Lee, newbie Angelo and I.
We went out around the Vale and past some of my favourite cafes in Penarth and Cardiff Bay. We then did some slalom and bunny hop practice as we went across the flats towards Newport. We took in some new roads in Newport to avoid the dual carriageway to Bassleg and then set off for Machen and Basil's ice cream. The cakes were okay but the ice cream was lovely, after all it is an ice cream parlour! It's also a great place to stop, particularly on a day like this. We then came back via Caerphilly and Pontypridd. I learnt a couple of things; firstly the Chasers aren't Chasers at all and held their own well and secondly Angelo ( who is 16!) has great potential. He left us for dead on a couple of the hills and still had something left at the end...
