Pacers tour of the Black Mountain

Out today were Dave ( on his comeback ride!), Rob, Nigel, Paul and yours truly. An early start was agreed and the roads were a bit damp from last night's rain. I began to regret the 3mins I'd spent the previous evening cleaning my bike!  Off via Port Talbot, and Dave punctured, much to the amusement of the tubeless boys, then off via Crynant to a cafe stop at 40 miles near Dan-yr -Ogof. The next 30 miles was what we came for, riding on quiet roads with breathtaking scenery. Paul got a puncture, much to the amusement of the inner tube crew and we then had a rapid descent from the top of the mountain, stopping in Neath for a second coffee. Dave's lay off does not seem to have affected him and he and Rob drove the pace on the way back.

Over 100 miles for me and more for the Garw Valley Commandos!
