A cool night with a light wind.  Traffic quite heavy for this course, and the earlier Start didn't help.
Risk Assessment re-potholes near Turn and at Wick were easily managed.  Unfortunate accident to
Mark Bryant just beyond the Finish line due to loss of control.  Hope all is well Mark!

Many thanks to all my helpers.
Cheers, Norman
P.S.  Sign-on by 18.15 again next week.

Thanks to all again for a well run event and also glad Mark B is not to badly injured, take it easy mate. As for me 3 miles in I heard what I thought was a puncture for a few seconds. I was about to pull over then it stopped hissing. I heard a hiss once more on the course but again that stopped, managed to finish OK and got all but a few hundred meters from home and another few seconds of  hissing. On getting in the house I found the hairs on my legs all matted up with Stans sealant. On looking closely I found a small slit in the front tyre with the white sealant just showing, so thanks to Stans sealant I managed to complete the TT and get home.

So back to the matted leg hair, is this the real reason a lot of cyclists shave their legs, still not for me though lol.

3 hours in A&E. Most serious injury is a slightly dislocated clavicle which may settle back into place as the swelling subsides, otherwise may need some intervention. I have an appointment for it to be re-assessed on 8 May. I also have lots of impressive road-rash to show off at a later date.

I was a bit shook up at the time, so a big thank you to everyone who helped me.

Hi Mark, glad to see it's not as bad as it might have been. You certainly looked pretty shook up at the time but we all know you are a tough so and so 🙄.

I tried ringing/texting but now realise your phone was more damaged than you haha.

Not sure you remember, but I have your gilet.

Look after yourself and catch up soon.
