Amblers Ride Sunday 5th November
« on: November 01, 2017, 04:46:34 PM »
This week I've got 4 options. As always they can be changed depending on who comes out. There's always a coffee stop planned as well. Weather is looking nice but a little brisk for Sunday.

So here they are.

1st - Same route as last weekend. But up 3steps hill and down to Ewenny

2nd - The Bryn - It's a little evil at the start from Fountains lane but we could got the opposite way from the Afan Valley side.

3rd - The Bwlch from Treorchy side and down Ogmore Valley then over Llangeinor

4th - A tour round the Vale. Not too many hills and a coffee stop at Dyffryn

Four for the Amblers  today. Myself, Mal, Ade and Sarah (out for her second ride). Originally I'd thought, due to wind and weather we'd go to Porthcawl but then we decided to take a tour round the vale. We set off towards Miskin.  We got passed by the Pacers en route. It kept spitting with rain but the wind died off a little. Once we got to the top of Gwern-y-steeple hill it was a little early for coffee at Duffryn so we took a route through Peterston to St. Fagans where we had coffee and set off back home. The large black cloud looming and more rain meant we cut the ride a little shorter. I pulled off by the old post and followed the Tuesday route home.

Good ride and a nice pace if a little cold.

The rain hammered down so me ade and Sarah stayed on the A 48  from Bolvilston but went into cowbridge to avoid the dual Carriageway soaked by the time we got to Bridgend Sarah rode well and getting stronger by the week
