advice - Bike kit needed?
« on: October 15, 2017, 09:52:12 PM »
Hi all,
I'm picking up my new shiny road bike this week, sadly I don't think I'll get it in time for this Tuesday's chaingang though. I've already got lights, clothing (including a reflective yellow top) and pump, what else do I need? I'm hoping to join a ride out in a few weeks once my fitness has improved a bit so I'm guessing I'll need spare tube and a few tools as well?

Cheers!

Chris

Hi Chris

Spare tube, tyres levers and a multi tool will probably see you alright, to start with!

Good quality tyre levers are essential, not the bendy type also a pair of disposable gloves for putting your oily chain back on, don’t want to dirty your hands or gloves.
