Chasers club run Sunday 17th September
« on: September 13, 2017, 06:12:40 PM »
I'll be out on Sunday and will post a route late reply in the week.
Only got 'net access on the mobile and it's not the best for trying to create anything on Strava!

Had a message from Nick L suggesting the Aberdare loop, as the weather appears reasonable on Sunday. Suggest clockwise, Neath, Resolven, Rhigos, Bwlch, Ogmore Vale.
Coffee stop suggestions? Treorchy?

Sounds good Andy. How about a stop at the 'Cafe that Time Forgot' in Treorchy?

sounds an excellent route-unfortunately I'm 90% unlikely to be out on Sunday-holding on to that 10% possibility though

Hope to be there Sunday.
Nick L, don't forget I owe you a coffee, Treorchy is a good choice 😬

Good turnout this morning, for all groups.
Weather fair as 8 Chasers set off on a loop via Neath and Resolven to climb the Rhigos and Bwlch. by the time we reached Margam we were still 8, just a different 8. Nick l had chased us down after arriving late at Brackla and Neil had dropped off. Sorry Neil, nobody shouted that you weren't still with us, hope all was well!
Group rode well together, until Glynneath and the climbing started. Matt and Simon set the pace closely followed by Terry and the rest closely matched for most of the way. After the long slog up and over the Rhigos, we stopped for coffee at the Cardiff Arms cafe in Treorchy aka Carpanini's,aka 'Cafe that time forgot'. Bacon butties seemed to be the order of the day and very good value.
After a brief discussion on possible routes home, sense prevailed and we took the direct route.
Out today were:-
Terry
Tony
Matt
Simon T
Neil (briefly)
Mark
Richard
Nick L
