Amblers 19th Jan
« on: January 17, 2014, 11:53:51 AM »
Weather looks reasonable. Ride will follow last weeks R1 course as far as Afan Country Park by then Tom will need a top up, we will come back on a slightly different route. Not hills as I will not be on a multi geared bike, Trek is at the doctors. All welcome, we will ride in a bunch as fast as the slowest rider

Sounds good Ron. Unfortunately I'm not out again this Sunday. Have a good ride. I'm out in Saturday if anyone want to join me.

BBC forecast for CF31 is giving a temperature of 3 degrees at 9 for Brackla-if correct it will be considerably lower on the Bwllch!I will make a decision in the morning but as you will know I am particularly risk averse if it's icy!

God turn out this morning and excellent weather, getting better as the ride progressed. Nine "Ambers" set off on the R1 route as far as Afan Park where we stopped for tea. Returned via Port Talbot, 7  riders did the P Cawl loop on the way back. Ron,Andy, Wayne,Terry, Tony, Richard,Woody, Paul and Neil.

Thanks for the ride yesterday guys, enjoyed my first Amblers run, went into my red zone at around the 40 mile mark at the bottom of Dan y Graig hill , hopefully a few more runs will sort that out !! Looking to join the club officially on Friday night and hopefully see you all again next Sunday :-)
Cheers. Paul
