Hi all

I recently emailed the latest committee meeting minutes to all OVW members.  Please could you all pay particular attention to the 'date fixing' on the last page.

We need to finalise a date and organiser/s asap.

This is a very important date in the Ogmore Valley Wheeler's calendar.

We are 'on the clock, so the sooner members get in touch the better.

As far as I know, no-one has shown an interest in organising this event.

I cannot state strongly enough that whomever puts themselves forward will have the full support of the Committee.  You will not be left to your own devices.  There will be help and guidance all the way.

It is an excellent opportunity to see trialling from another perspective.

This event is in memory of a club member who is sadly no longer with us, and is an important event in the Club's calendar.

Feeling a bit like 'billy no mates' on this thread 

The clock is ticking and we are running out of time.

There is a team of helpers behind any time trial event, otherwise they would simply not take place.  Many of you have participated in time trials in the past few years.  How many of you have an insight into what happens in order for you to get a ride, to improve your times, to do PB's, perhaps even get medals or trophies for your achievements?

Is there anyone out there who is prepared to put something back into the sport?

I have organised the event for the past two years, but as many of you know, I have ongoing health problems, and it really isn't fair for me to continue.

I am more than happy to work with someone else to put this event on again next year.

Forms need to be filled in and returned by the 30th Sept to ensure we keep this event, so, as I said, time is running out.

If anyone is interested in acting as an 'Apprentice' for 2017 and then taking it on for a couple of years before we pass it on again, please contact Teresa or myself directly.

It would be a matter of concern if a club of our size cannot organise one open event a year.
