Amblers Sunday 8th December 2013
« on: December 07, 2013, 09:51:51 AM »
After a few refreshments on Thursday night a route was loosely plotted. I believe is was something like this.

Brackla Bridgend- Ewenny-Death Valley-St Brides Major-Wick-Llantwit Major-Cardiff Airport-Wenvoe-Culerhouse Cross-St Fagens. Cafe stop then home through the lanes. I'm sure someone will correct me if there are any differences. Should be around 45 miles. All welcome don't forget 9:30 start Brackla.

Sounds good Paul-we could even turn at Wenvoe and go up to Dyffryn to meet the Pacers for coffee!

That would be a good idea, Tom. Dyffryn Gardens it is.

No cycling for me today. Still full of cold from in the week. Was looking forward to getting out today. Will hopefully be better in time to have another crack at the chain-gang on Tuesday.
Have a good one all.

9 Amblers Started from Brackla today. Aiden, Andrew Foster, Andrew Story, Tom, Jon Spink, Terry, Ron, Wayne and Myself.

We rolled out with the Pacers until Ewenny then everyone was denutralized. We pressed on following the planned route. Ron decided to peel off at Llantwit Major, after spaying us all with a coat of mud. Nice cupper at Dyffryn Gardens. After discussing at length the route home I must have been confused on what was finally agreed as I took a wrong turn and split the group. So apologies to Terry, Aiden, and Andrew Story. Hope you didn't wait for us.

Should have been around 45 miles Brackla to Brackla. Same time next week

Yes Paul-it was inevitable that after discussing the way back at length there'd be some confusion.I just hope Andy didn't ride back thinking we'd had a mechanical.Nevertheless another good ride,i'm sure enjoyed by all!

Nice to be out on a club run after so long, good turn out. Good that everyone left together, good ad for the club. Should we have a third group? Some people/riders might be a bit nervous of riding in a big group first off and need to be in a slower group for a few rides. Sorry about the mud Tom, looks good when you get home.
