Despite booking day off work just for a ride out to watch the race, now find my day being filled with odd jobs and errands.

Will be riding straight to Caerphilly mountain and hopefully get some riding in after (depending on weather)

How about meeting near the top, cafe side between final bend and top plateau. i.e. where we were last year   ;D

See you tomorrow 1.30 - 2.0ish

Club run out to Caerphilly Mountain to watch Stage 5 of the Tour of Britain.

Due to finish in Caerphilly between 3 and 4 o'clock. Last year we did a hilly route which got us to Caerphilly in time to climb the mountain,

descend into Caerphilly for lunch and climb back up, in plenty of time to watch the race.

Weather not looking great, hopefully it will improve by Thursday, if you fancy a ride out post here!

Forecast not getting any better, think it's a case of meet at 9.00 and see who turns up.

Agree that watching crits in wind and rain won't be much fun.

Looks like we will be getting wet, whichever direction we go, on Sunday.

So propose a route out west, Neath, Rhos, Alltwen, Swansea Marina, (coffee) and can use prevailing wind to blast back via Fabian Way and  Porthcawl. 60 miles

Option to miss the Marina if the weather is really grotty.

Will post garmin route when I get chance.

Good spot Jason, can't say I had that smile on my face all the way around!

That must have either been early on in the run or the last lap!!  ;D

Get your entries in guys, great way of getting into time trialing.

Nobody on flash TT bikes or fancy aero gear and a challenging course.

And the tea and cake always tastes better after pushing yourself really hard!

Many thanks to time keepers and other organizers, very enjoyable evening.

Do we have a date for the Roadman's Night Out?

Shawn, no need for handicapping, the trick is to make sure you have an obscure category that you can't fail to win!   ;D
