Can I just start this post by apologising to Nigel, Andy, Scott, Karl, Carl, Paul, Mark J and Mark R for the late start to this morning's ride - all I can say in my defence is "Should have gone tubeless"

So 9 out today on a bitterly cold day - another unscripted ride but a regular route through Llanharan, Groes -faen, St Fagans, Dinas Powys, Penarth and a coffee in Romily Gardens in Barry. Things hotted up despite the temperature staying below 4 degrees on the way back, as aided by a tail wind we went around the airport and back through Rhoose.
Good to see Carl back on the road and showing that those pre 6 am Wattbike rides are paying dividends. Some strong turns on the front today particularly from Mark J, proving that last weeks turn on the front wasn't a once in a lifetime aberration.
Happy as I was to be dropped this morning just after Wick, I was surprised to see Karl ignoring the Chasers motto of "Never let someone suffer alone off the back - make sure they suffer just off the bunch".
Three turned off for a few further miles around Southerndown whilst Scott and myself headed through Death Valley.
Good to get out today and once again my apologies for the 30 minute delay in setting out.
Should have gone tubeless!
