Hi Steven, I’m shocked to hear Dave’s been involved in a nasty bike accident. Please pass on my best wishes and I hope he makes a full and speedy recovery.

I too hope to be out this Sunday. Richard - that lovely Penarth seafront cafe was on this 60 mile route and is popular with cyclists, maybe we can do a variation of this route?

Only 3 of us out this morning :-
Myself
Karl
Denise
We went ahead and cycled Richard’s planned route minus Richard. We rode well together with Karl doing most of the donkey work on the front in a swirling north easterly wind. A beautiful warm sunny coffee stop at Cafe Fresco in Swansea Marina. A few cheeky climbs and fairly incident free ride apart from a car almost wiping out all 3 of us turning into a junction between Margam and Pyle on our way home. An enjoyable ride in warm September sunshine, weather permitting and lockdown permitting hopefully see you next week. Lee

Booked flights and awaiting confirmation from hotel via email.

Please note the email address isn't call-centre@portblue.com but should read call-center@portblue.com (center is spelt differently, American English)

Thank you Steven for confirming the outbound flight time, getting up at 08:00 will be easier.

Regarding the consensus to rearrange our flights, why was it decided to opt for the 12:40pm time for the outbound flight as opposed to 7:30am?...consequenty losing half a day’s cycling upon arrival.

4 Riders turned up for an enjoyable ride to Caerphilly Castle in glorious blue skies but breezy conditions.

Out today:- Myself, Richard B, Richard L and Rob. Strong turns on the front from Richard L and Rob heading out east into the wind. After a cheeky little climb up Caerphilly mountain it was bacon baps all round from the mountain snack bar. Fast descent into Llandaff followed by a couple of wrong turns before heading towards Fairwater, Gwern-y-Steeple, Hensol, Miskin and swift blast back home. Lovely ride in warm September sunshine and thanks for the company.

Due to Wales playing a World Cup rugby match next Sunday morning the Chasers ride will be Saturday 28th Sept, 9am from Brackla.
Weather permitting see you next Saturday.
