:-\ Entered for next Sunday but not sure these things are the most rewarding way to spend a Sunday morning! I used to enjoy the variety of courses when I started about 5 years ago, especially on the magic dragon series. Now there is NO variety of courses in SE Wales, and they are nearly all dull dangerous dual carriageway courses. Thats what mamals demand it seems (the need for artificial speed), while the organisation of these things is still overly cumbersome to attract a wider market (without all the equipment). The wick and st athan courses possibly the only exceptions but both very rarely used for weekend events, while the former not the best anyhow. There are a lot of positives to TT and its organisation to me also, but my phone is playing up so I won't tap these out here.

Rob,not sure of sizing on a Dalkia, what height rider would be suitable for?

Well Andy I am 5ft 9.5 inches tall but long legs relative to torso. I would say no taller and ideally shorter than me. Possibly quite a bit shorter would still fit well someone more evenly proportioned. Its 52cm top tube which I would say approximates better to a general small than medium classification. Let me know if you're interested in looking at/ trying it and I'll get it to a club night. Its enabled me to get a 21 for a 10, a short 54 for a 25, and a 1:57 for a 50. By comparison I have never managed to average over 24mph on any solo ride on any road bike that starts and finishes in roughly the same place.

Horses for courses Rob. I couldn't do what you did yesterday, namely pay all that money to drive all that distance to sit in a bunch for so long!

Lol sitting in a bunch is lush compared to time trialling Steven - you can breath most of the time, have a chat without losing time...sometimes something interesting even happens! I think I know what you mean though and I couldn't argue road racing its any safer than TTing on a dual carriageway. I do miss all those sporting courses that have disappeared from places like Raglan, Abergavenny and Crickhowell to name but a few. I'd never have got hooked on TT without that variety. And I haven't quit yet, just having some motivational challenges. The bike is going regardless as I think its too small for me and I'm in a transitional phase to 11spd.

RS20, best course in Wales, but even Bynea club members declined to ride it, and the Celtic series hill climb that was good. But we are all slaves to the ski jump, if the turn was just one roundabout that would be nice. New event riding courses backwards, the 3c would not be so popular, but the best man would probably win.

Yes Ron; I did it last year and 20-30 Bynea members turned up to watch and then arrived at HQ just before me so I had to wait 30 minutes for a brew. GRRR. And now that event is not on this year .Although some of those Bynea riders were riding last week which is good. Rob; try the tt forum or eBay with a higher starting price; bike stuff seems to go for good money on there.
There is another Dalkia for sale out there no wheels, my size (5'8ish) £750 if anyone else wants one (no its not mine).

Thanks Chris, that's not going to help me much, pointing out a cheaper Dalkia available on the market lol! Mine is much better of course and has carbon wheels and carbon bars. I'd come down to a grand too as been paying too much ebay tax of late. Just sold my Focus on there!

Sorry Rob I did think of that; they are a similar price with wheels and of course yours is in vastly better condition. And faster. And lighter. Hopefully that has redressed the balance in your favour.

Rob and Chris If we let you two carry on the price may well drop some more! So perhaps I shouldn't intervene just yet, however would you be able to bring the tt beast along to club night on June 12th? I am at least 2 ins shorter than you so size could be an issue Now what do I tell my wife? n+1 and all that!

Some advice from someone who will remain nameless; win at least one bike every few years in a competition ;)

Hi I missed your message until now sorry Andy. Do I know you, think there are several Andy's in the club these days, none of which I recall having dodgy knees? It was more my new found appreciation of ebay fees than Chris that triggered the reconsideration of price. I should be ok to bring it to club on 12th June but will let you know if for any reason I can't. As for being shorter than me that is a good thing as I feel its slightly small for me (see earlier comment on this thread). I have the saddle up near the limit on the post and have the bars adjusted for their full extension. At 52cm the top tube is several centimetres less than my current road race bike.
