Title: Paris to Swansea charity ride

I have been contacted by the guidedog association who are hoping to use this event to raise funds and they are wondering if we would be interested in riding the tandem on the Paris to Swansea ride on 29th July to 2nd of August.  The idea is to get sponser money parte of which covers travel and accommodation and the rest goes to the charity.  Not sure of the ammounts needed or the main details but if anyone wants to pilot and get some publicity for Ogmore Valley, let me know.

Thanks to Andy who has agreed to pilot for this event.  So I shall be after you all for sponsering us and also hoping for some training rides to build up for the event.  Good to get ovw on the international stage yet again.

Nice publicity piece for thie ride/the club in this week's Gazette(page 16 if you want to take a peek in Smith's without buying one-I know you cyclists!)

Apologies if this has already been put on the forum, but I guess they wont mind if it appears again.

As we know Keith and Andy are going to ride from Paris to Swansea on the tandem, to raise money for the guide dogs charity.

The club is planning a charity quiz night, with fish and chip supper included, in order to help Keith and me in our fund raising, for Guide Dogs Cymru!

We'll be holding it at the club night on Friday 24th July. 7:30 start. Teams of 4-6, £10 entry per person to include said fish and chip supper, donation to charity and fund for bottle prizes!

Keith and I are looking for people to 'captain' a team. Thought 10 teams as a starting point. Volunteers needed!

Its open to members, family and non-members and will be a general-knowledge quiz rather than a cycling based quiz!!

I'm bringing a team and Andrew Williams has also put forward a team. Who else will challenge us?!

25er's will be sending a team depending on international commitments, Claire and Ceri get swotting. Are we allowed non Oggies ie. relatives to make up a team?

We have a collection arranged at St Davids Centre, Cardiff next saturday, 20th June.  If anyone is at a loose end and would like to keep me company for a while, would be good to see some of you down there.
