RR3 will take place on Sunday 7th April
https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/5322488
Route attached for planning, I'll update soon with start times etc

Weather forecast not looking great and if the 40mph winds arrive, would merit cancelling.
Keep an eye on it and let me know your thoughts over next day or so
-
Much as I'd like to see Nige riding Porthcawl seafront with 60mm rims in a 40mph cross-wind, I agree we need to give serious consideration to cancelling on safety grounds. If the forecast remains as I can see it right now I won't be riding it, but I'll keep checking and hoping for a change.
As ever with the RRs, I think Andy you are the person making the sacrifice, and if people aren't committing to ride and you want to arrange to make better use of your Sunday you should let us know the time to confirm a start has passed.

High winds plus more likely than not for some rain during the morning, so more than happy for it to be postponed. Perhaps we could have a rearranged date to test the fitness gained from the Mallorca trip.

While its quite calm at the moment, the forecast is still for 40mph gusts and rain.
I'll take Mark's suggestion on board and postpone RR3 to Sunday April 28th (See if anybody has improved their fitness enough to keep up with Rob) :D

This Sunday, April 28th is the final reliability ride for this season. Here is the route:- https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/5322488
A couple of pointers for the route:-
1. At the start of the ride you need to go to the the 2nd roundabout in Coity, before turning back on yourself
2. On the leg back to Bridgend DO NOT turn down New Inn Road, stay on the main road to Ewenny roundabout.
3. Ride finishes in Costa coffee in Cowbridge
RR3 is 100km and has two options, 3 hour 30 mins or 4 hours. (With the +/- 15min buffer, the 4 hour option can be achieved by riding at just over 14 .5mph)
Ride starts at 8:30 for 4 hour option (sign on by 8:15) average 15.5mph
9:00 for 3:30 option (sign on by 8:45) average 17.7mph
PLEASE NOTE THE EARLIER START TIME
NO COMPUTERS, WATCHES or GPS DEVICES ARE ALLOWED
so if you feel the need to record your ride then tape over or cover up screens.
Tape will be provided at the start! ;D
To be 'reliable' or 'qualify' in RR3 you have to finish + or - 15 minutes of your intended time.
Signing on is 15 minutes before start time and remember to let me or other riders know if you don't intend to complete the ride.
Please post your intended start times and which ride your going for, so others can join you.

Well that's saved me thinking of a Pacers' route. 9am please.

9am for me
-
9am for me too please
-
I'll try the 9am one this time.
-
Thanks to all who rode one Sunday, the results are attached.
Nobody was 'Reliable' over all three events and the winner of the Reliability 'trophy' is therefore Richard Lewis who qualified in RR2 and RR3
Well done
