Folks. Having fought off such strong and enthusiastic competition to become club chairman, I feel I should have a crack at chairing something. I would like to propose using a slice of March's club night as a quarterly general meeting.
The main point I can see from the AGM we agreed to defer discussion on, was the club evening TT series. CTT have now published advice on how to handle 20mph zones, which probably narrows down our options to using a shortened course starting after the 20mph zone in Wick, or moving to the R10/9 at St Athan. Any other suggestions welcome. Also if anyone is travelling through Wick in the next few weeks and could assess the proximity of useful laybys to start in that would be helpful.
It would also be great to hear any updates from the various race, ride and social secretaries, even if it's just plans for plans.
And any other suggestions for an agenda, please stick them on here, or send me a message.

Just over a week to what is already being called the most exciting QGM on the second Monday in March in the whole of the wider Coity area (not including Simonstone).
I've done a bit of scouting between Wick and Llantwit for a suitable place to start a TT, and I can't see anywhere remotely close to Wick. Perhaps I am overly risk averse. If anyone with a more pragmatic eye has spotted somewhere it would be good to know.
If anyone has any other agenda points it would be good to add them in advance, but we can have a general discussion under AOB. Is there anything you'd like to see us do as a club, let me know.
And a reminder to the various secretaries that it would be great to share any updates. Feel free to pass to me before the 11th if you can't make it.
I'd also be very interested to hear from anyone who has joined the club in the last 2 years. Why did you join? Was there any reason you didn't join sooner? Do you think there is anything we could do to attract more members? Come and tell us on the 11th, post here, or send me a direct message through the forum.

Regret that I shall be unable to attend the meeting, however, just as a suggestion, would junction of Green Isaf in Wick present a viable option for a start point, turn at Pentr'er Cwrt rab and return for 7 miles? No idea how hard it is to get approval for a new course, so otherwise would it be possible to switch to R10/9, as a possible solution on an established course? Thanks.

Reminder.....club subs are due, if you have not renewed your membership you can do this on line or at the meeting on Monday 11th. Message me if you need bank details.

Some informal notes from last night's meeting to keep everyone up to date.
1. We've had a bit of a dip in membership numbers. A general reminder if you haven't submitted a membership form please do. And if you have, but haven't paid, please do that too. I am hoping to contact anyone who has joined in the last 2 years to ask why you did, and what you think of the club as a way to learn what we should and shouldn't do to attract more members.
2. Having reviewed guidance from CTT, and with feedback from other event organisers about the increasingly onerous risk assessment requirements a decision was taken not to proceed with the evening TT series this year. We agreed this was not necessarily a long term decision and we will discuss again at the AGM at the end of the year. We did not discuss the hill climb and I am hopeful we can still run this.
3. There was some discussion about trips away, and in particular if you are interested in a trip to the south of France in September to make yourself known. This does not appear to be well posted on the "Trips Away" part of the forum. Dates were mentioned and I apologise for not noting them down.
4. Updates from secretaries.
Track -> Suggestion of "accreditation in a day", to get participants up to race accreditation. Not much (no) interest in this. But interest in another general track session.
Social -> Planning to make a plan. Suggestion to have a club night in a pub in Summer (possibly even having ridden there!).
Gravel -> A perception that there is little interest in riding gravel. If anyone not at the meeting feels differently please shout.
5. AOB
Audax -> The Peacocks & Kites event was highlighted as an opportunity to assemble a few club members. This is a 300km event on some beautiful roads up to Rhayder, and might be a great opportunity to keep up the fitness after warm-weather training in Majorca. If you are interested the link to enter is here https://www.audax.uk/event-details/10956-peacocks_and_kites

Thanks for posting these notes.
It's unfortunate that it was felt necessary to suspend the club time trial series this season, but hopefully the hill-climb will remain viable. Personally though I am not currently in any condition to participate, but am hopeful of returning to competition next season.
I have indeed renewed my membership back in January, and am proud to remain a member, however I do not recall seeing my subscription cheque passing through my bank as of yet. Perhaps Nigel could clarify, please?
Thanks, and good luck to everyone participating in the Reliability Ride.
