Title: Chasers 21 January
Post by: RichardB on January 18, 2024, 07:59:16 AM
I plan to be out Sunday morning. The weather is looking a bit unsettled Sunday with the wind picking up from lunch time. Will post the route in the next few days, will be around 50 miles with coffee stop.

Here's the route;
https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/245404846
Laleston - Cefn Cribwr - Bryncethin - Heol y Cyw - Llanharan - Miskin - Pendoylan - Bonvilston - Green Dragon Lane - Llantwit Major - Monknash - St Brides Major - Ogmore by Sea - Home
50 miles with coffee stop after 35 miles in Llantwit Major.
Current forecast is for much milder weather with some chance of rain and SW wind picking up though the morning, the high winds not coming until later in the afternoon.
See you all Sunday.

Seven of us out on Sunday morning. Six set out from Brackla, me, Chris, Mark, Paul, Nigel and Tony, and we picked up Mark en route. We were supposed to meet Mark by El Prado’s but he set off early to give himself a head start on the climb from Roger’s Lane up to Cefn Cribwr.
Good dry conditions all morning albeit a bit blustery, the poor forecast may well have deterred the usual suspects from venturing out. Another good group ride with the group just breaking up a bit on the two significant climbs. The majority of the roads were good but Green Dragon Lane was filthy leaving me covered head to toe and giving the coffee stop a miss. Tony and Mark also rode through with Mark not being far from home and leaving me and Tony to head home around the coast.
See you all next Sunday.
