Following a (WhatsApp) meeting for chairmen, past and present, an opportunity has arisen for a Super-Pacer's Sunday ride to the Severn Bridge.
Meet at Pencoed roundabout at 9am https://maps.app.goo.gl/fZRGE1F4bPibodVV7 (https://maps.app.goo.gl/fZRGE1F4bPibodVV7). Ride to the Severn Bridge https://maps.app.goo.gl/aa6yDAk5MP3TypjQ6 (https://maps.app.goo.gl/aa6yDAk5MP3TypjQ6) . Turn round and come home. Coffee in Chepstow (probably).
If you are planning on riding, please reply here so we know to wait at the roundabout should a brisk tail wind from the Garw get us there early.

Big turnout for the first Pacer's rider of the new year. Me, Dave, Rob C, Dai W, OVW Chairman, and King of the Audax set off from Pencoed rounabout after a neutralised section from the Garw where we failed to persuade Mark Rosser to join us. A classic Dave route featured a sprinkling of infamous South Wales climbs including the bridge over the railway at Llanharan, the Mur de Groes Faen, and the Kopparberg (named after the 8 bottles of cider Dave once drank in a pub in Cardiff).
Blue skies all the way to the Severn Bridge for an early contender for most expensive coffee stop of the year in the motorway services. Thankfully Dave was paying. Pushed on a bit on the way home which seemed to be a lot of effort for not much average speed. Second coffee stop in Cardiff with an early contender for largest, most overly sweet slab of Victoria Sponge of the year, before a final push for home through some wintery showers.
I'm not about next week, and probably not the week after but will try and get some Pacer routes back up after then.
