Route for this Sunday
https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/134770803
Out to St Fagans through the lanes via Llangan - Welsh St Donats - Peterston and then - Wenvoe on the Old Port Road - St Andrews Major - Dinas Powys - Barry - Rhoose _ Lantwit Major - St Brides Major and home.
Around 52 miles with coffee stop in Romilly
If this ends up as a mixed ride there will be too many of us for the lanes and we'll have to go out to St Fagans on the main road, so Pencoed-Llanharan-Miskin-Groesfaen which will add some additional mileage.

….. and if it turns out icy first thing Sunday we will also stay on the main road.

Another good turn out this morning for another mixed ride with 9 of us setting out from Brackla. Me, Mark, Chris, Scott, Karl, Carl, Nigel, Tim and Tammy. We did try to persuade Andy to ride with us too but he was happy to stay with his social ride solo having not been 100%.
Good group ride again with the group only breaking up a bit on the climbs. Out into the bright sunshine through the lanes to St Fagans and then on to Barry via St Andrew’s Major and Dinas Powys. Between Dinas Powys and Barry we were overtaken on double white lines by some idiot in a grey transit van. It was a close pass with the van cutting in tightly in front of us and causing the oncoming car to pull up sharply into the side of the road with the car behind going straight into the back of them. Video on its way to Operation Snap. We then had the planned coffee stop in Romilly. And then the ride for home which was at a sensible pace and not the expected smashfest. Through Rhoose and East Aberthaw and then back on to the main road, Chris peeled off just before Wick, Tim and Nigel went round the coast from St Bride’s leaving the rest of us to take the direct route back to Bridgend.
See all again next Sunday.
