Title: Social Ride, 2nd July

I’ll be taking a social ride this Sunday, departing 9am from Brackla as usual. Distance to be determined on the morning and dependent on preferences. Steady pace with the usual “no drop” rule and incorporating a cafe stop. Hope to see a few out….

Five of us started today. Terry, Alysson, Rahul, first timer Martin and myself headed out, up through Cefn Glas, keeping to the lanes up and over Stormy Down, down to Nottage (missing the seafront because of the Porthcawl 10k), then out via Kenfig Burrows to Margam before picking up the tailwind back via A48 and New Road before an excellent cafe stop at Parc Slip. We were joined by Toffer and Mick at the Cafe but Terry headed straight for home. We kept going east, over Heol y Cyw Common to Llanharan, Llanharry and finally back through the lanes for a total of 40 miles. Thanks all, a really enjoyable ride.
