I don’t think we’ve done Swansea Marina for a while. Weather looking ok for first part of the morning with some chance of showers later. I’m not aware of anything going on in Swansea this weekend and we can keep an eye on the forecast.
Porthcawl - Taibach - Pontrhydyfen - Cimla - Neath - Skewen - Winch Wen - Marina - direct route home, coffee stop in Café Fresco in the Marina.

Seven of us out from the start this morning, me, Rich L, Scott, Carl, Lee, Mark R and Mark J plus a brief cameo appearance from Harpo. Good conditions all morning.
Fairly brisk early pace with Mark R spending most of the time on the front, the rest of us only contributing I think once we got on to the Afan Valley where the pace then dropped a little. By this time Lee had left us in Taibach. Rode well as a group with splits only really coming on the climb to Cimla and on the chain gang home. Good coffee stop in the Marina as usual and opportunity to refuel ready for the dash for home.
Enjoyed that, thanks all. I’m not around next Sunday and note to anyone planning rides next week, avoid Porthcawl and the Porthcawl 10k next Sunday.
