Title: Social Ride

Weather looking good. I’m assuming it is going to be a mixed ride again and I’m thinking something longer in preparation for RR3 next week, so a trip to Swansea Marina with a coffee stop in the Cafe Fresco. It is still a social ride so we need to ride at a pace suitable for all in the group.

I thought I had an old route saved somewhere for this but cannot find the exact one and don't now have time to create a new one.

Route as follows
Bridgend - Laleston - Pyle - Harbour Way - Afan Way - Briton Ferry - Neath - Skewen - Llansamlet - Winch Wen - Swansea Marina - Fabian Way - Harbour Way - Pyle - Kenfig Hill - Lanes back to Laleston - Home

I think it will be around 57/58 miles and we'll have a coffee stop in Cafe Fresco in the Marina

Social ride to be ridden at pace to suit all in the group. Anyone looking for a fast ride can go to Llanelli with Rob and the pacers :-)

Great turn out this morning, nine of us setting out from the start, me, Chris, Rich L, Tammy, Scott, Carl, Mark and welcome returns from Graham and Lee.
Enjoyable well disciplined group ride with Chris largely controlling the pace at the front. Good dry conditions with just just a chilly westerly.
Mark peeled off at Neath leaving the rest of us to press on for the coffee stop on the Marina. Good coffee stop as always where the custard slices (with added whipped cream and caramel sauce) are to be recommended.
And good group ride then home along Fabian Way, Harbour Way and the lanes from Pyle.
Hope to see everyone out again next week for RR3.
