Good route today planned by Paul, with Mark and Nigel leaving from Brackla and Rob joining us on his mountain bike once we hit the gravel. It was warm on the climbs but chilly on the exposed ridges. All was going well until Rob had a puncture in the middle of nowhere..
Sealant - failed
Worm - failed
Changing inner tube- failed ( tube had holes in!)
Gas canisters- exhausted
Pump- too small for a mountain bike tyre!
We then fitted Mark's inner tube which was the wrong width, but enough to get to the cafe. We went to the Refreshment Rooms at the old railway station. I went in the wrong door and was nearly in a drinking game with the locals until I was directed to the other room. Rob decided to come back over Croeserw and we decided we needed to accompany him too!
Still, a good day out on the bike on a fine day!
