Hi all,
as per the AGM the club is intending to restart the weekly 10mile TT on Thursday's starting from 5th May through to 16th October. First event is 18:30 start and the rest will be 19:00. The course will remain the R10/19 and is open to non OVW members. The levy per rider per ride is £3. Spread the word.
For this to take place we need volunteers to act as starter/timers/put signs up and collect levy. Attached is a copy of the CTT application to the police to hold these events. If you can help can you let me know the days you are available, for this to work we need to all help out as its to far for the people to travel who have done the official bits.
Also remember under CTT rules it is compulsory to have working front and rear lights and to wear a helmet
-
Nige, I’m happy to help occasionally (I hope to compete in many of them). There may be occasions when I am unavailable but at the moment, the only time I know that I will be unavailable is 11 & 18 August
-
Put me down to volunteer on:-
May 19th
May 26th
June 2nd
May be able to help on other dates but will definitely cover these days
-
Yes, I also hope to help with these and to compete however, work and family may restrict how often. Suggest rota posted fortnight ahead with tasks against which volunteers can sign-up - Google Forms?
-
Apologies Thursday will be impossible for me generally.
-
Very happy to chip in here and something like Toestrap's suggestion of Google forms is great.
-
Me too. Will advise on dates nearer the time!
-
BUMP.........

Happy to volunteer for the 5th. What needs doing?
-
I’m planning on racing, but if you are short of a volunteer, let me know and I’ll help out instead.
-
BUMP.......Just 2 days to go
-
I’ll be along to help
-
I can help Thursday eve this week - won't ride
-
I can help Thursday eve this week - won't ride
I think we need a rota or we risk too many people to help one week and none the next

Thanks for posting result so promptly.
I managed to get to the turn roundabout tonight, (to spectate), and acted as impromptu marshal in the absence of any other presence, (hope this qualifies as an official duty!) - some impressive performances all round, Veloflow jerseys prominent and great to see Mr. Bees out for a spin.
Hoping to participate myself during the season, sometimes, other responsibilities permitting.
Cheers.

Brilliant to see the club events running again.
Well done all.

Prompt posting of result - again much appreciated and some fine performances - well done Mark Bryant.
Out again for impromptu marshalling at the turn, all participants looking as fit and effective as expected.
BTW is a separate road bike category planned for the points series this year - it was rumoured for 2019, but not confirmed as I recall.
Hoping to dig out my TT bike (and legs very soon). We are racers! Cheers.

Our stalwart by the name of Paul Belcher turned up tonight and did 29:26, whilst I sunbathed and fried eggs on the car bonnet. Richard Tucker made an appearance too, on an eight-speed belt driven machine. No chain lube needed and a 15,000 mile lifetime!

Nigel,
Thanks to you and everyone else who has supported the evening’10’s this year!

Many thanks to the management for Thursday's event, and indeed for the season's series.
Slug slow at 32.04, but a season's best nevertheless.
I only managed to make it to 2 events this year, and not sure if I'll be up to the H/C, but looking forward to next season's time trials nevertheless.
Cheers.
-
Well done Nige for keeping this going all year, great effort.

Thanks Nigel for all your work and time spent looking after the TT.
