any other suggestions?

Cafe has the best coffee and view, and a bakers next door, then a climb to the ski slope which is still open in August !
-
Rob and Mark, I don't know if you fancied doing the midweek TT together this Thursday?
-
Joe, good idea. Happy to do either 3 or 2 up if I make it Thurs
-
Steve M and Mark N
what do you want to do about our reserve status on Sunday ?
Turn up and hope for best (in a two hour window)or go training instead?
Could be a frustrating morning if we dont get a ride at all .
I suppose we could check with Robin Field in the next few days if he has received any apologies for DNS

2 3up teams today. Both happy with ride and time. 36.5 mile course split about 65/35 B road to Dual carriageway. Conditions really good.
Our ride (joe, mark r and I) was smooth from the start, although it was amusing watching Joe trying to turn left...presume he makes a better job of turning right given speed he gets around our midweek club 10. He almost scored extra points for wiping out one of the ystwyth teams that we had a ding dong with on the sharp left turn after the dual section at raglan a while, but they just managed to escape, as did Joe!
We learned a lot from our Thursday night practice (including that Joe is too young and strong to ride a lumpy 10 with). ToDay we did a 1:21:54 which was about middle of the field (26.7mph ave). Not sure what the other team did as time not in when I left?

Well done to both teams for getting around unscathed. Had a few complaints from drivers at the H roundabout, but there was just too much traffic on the old road for the late starters. The early starters had a much easier ride through Hardwick. Some had to stop behind 8 or 10 cars at the bottle neck junction because the cars had been stuck behind cyclists along the old road. One team did weave in and out of cars before the junction with the senior rider screaming at the two others to keep going. Lots of ambulances racing around at the end, hope no cyclists were involved. I scribbled down some time as everyone passed, so if I can make sense of them I post them on this site. Well done nice to see some Oggies mixing it.
-
A team did spill on the road Ron. Nasty one I think, definately requiring ambulances! This team TT lark is even more risky than road racing I reckon. Agree there was a lot of traffic on b road, slowed us down a bit towards the end.

Quick look at results and report on CTT site, top teams were all late starters, Sarah Storeys Team came through Hardwick like a train, best team, well drilled as was Sean Childs gang. Some of the cars at the junction stayed away from the kerb allowing riders a free way through where as others were tight in not allowing rider a way through, some were deliberate, some nervous some just stupid, a bunch of bikers stopped to wait for their friends. It's only one day in 10 years that the road is that busy with cyclists, chill out!!

Does Britney have a beard?
-
Why do I do this?
-
Busy psyching out the camera so you are the only one in focus?
-
Steven to photographer-'what do you mean a few more miles to the turn? They told me we were riding a 10'
-
If you check Nic's site, he has taken lots of cycling related photos, perhaps they are so good is due to his cycling history. Passes a rainy day.
