OVW inaugural club gravel ride
Approximately 51 miles, 5300ft of climbing. Coffee stop after 35 miles at Afan Forest Park.
The route can be shortened by riding to either Blaengwynfi or Glyncorrwg if required.
Meet 9am at Brackla as for normal club run.

Will meet you somewhere along the first climb in the Garw forestry. Can practice my wheelies and bunny hops (currently up to clearing a medium sized twig) while I wait.

I'm disappointed that Tambini's does not feature here and I am having to rough it by going to other Cafes! Thankfully, I won't hurt their feelings as they are closed !

Rob you can have a sleep in for at least 30mins extra ;)
Steven I phoned Tambini's to confirm they are closed and changed the route ;D

Seven out today for the inaugural club gravel ride.
Steven M, Nige, Mark Rosser, Reece, Mark Bryant, Rob C and myself.
Lovely sunny day for some gravel, bit cold starting off from Brackla but soon warmed up on the first climb out of Pont-y-rhyl where Rob joined us and raised the pace! Very windy top of the Bwlch, strong headwind all the way through the turbines. Only one crash today, Nige needs another patch on his bib tights!
Followed the original route with a well-deserved coffee stop at Afan café. Nice selection of cakes today and some toast (as Steven pointed out, the toast is better at Tambini’s café!)
Nice tailwind home for the climb out of Afan and over the golf course.
