Could anyone please recommend a insurer that covers you while cycling abroad?
Thanks in advance.

My home insurance (with Swinton) covers me while abroad.

Hi Paul / Ben
Check the wording carefully; most travel insurance standard policies don't seem to cover for a cycling holiday (like Majorca), they will cover for the odd ride but not if the main purpose of the holiday is cycling.
I used a company called holidaysafe (just googled cycling holiday cover and made sure it was registered with the FCA) this year, some cover for kit / bikes depending on level of cover etc.

Virgin travel insurance includes cycling

DirectLine (at least the Select branch do) cover cycling overseas - maybe not racing, but as long as you tell them "cycle touring" it's OK. IIRC sportives were covered, but worth checking that one.

CTC Paul, now Cycle UK

Thanks for all your replies. My concern was the the same one as Chris had. You get a lot free cover that’s not tailored to you specific needs. I will google and there is always the option of web chat to ask direct questions for piece of mind.
