Title: Slide show, evening of memories, Friday 15th February
Post by: tandemkeith on February 08, 2019, 09:41:16 PM

Alan's brother, Richard, a former journalist has kindly agreed to put on a slide show at the club next Friday.

I am told he has lots of pictures of club members and vintage bikes so come along and test your memory!

I am sure contributions will be welcome so if you have any old photos now is the time to dig them out and come for a ride down memory lane!

Many thanks to Richard Marks for evoking so many memorable moments of Club life in Ogmore Valley Wheelers, and an insight into the Tour de France and the Milk Race - all around 1970's / 1980's.   There was even a picture of Mary on the Club Hill Climb at Norton!!!   The views of the Cyclo-cross course on a snowy mountainside behind Maesteg Hospital really brought back a shiver.
Some comments were made about the "old" style bikes being ridden - That's still my racing bike now!   It was also nice to stretch ones mind back to identify some of the "oggies" shown.

Thanks Richard.
