Title: Spring Kit Order
Post by: RichardB on February 18, 2014, 09:21:17 PM
We will be placing the next kit order in the early part of March for delivery Mid-April, there is a 5-6 week lead time on delivery. We will then follow this up with an order in early September ready for late Autumn/Winter.
The following kit is available from Decca;

Short sleeve jersey
Long sleeve jersey
Long sleeve jacket
Long sleeve windtex jacket with removable sleeves
Gilet
Rain Coat
Long and short sleeve skinsuits
Bib Shorts
3/4 length Bib
Bib tights

Can you please post your requirements, sizing runs from Ladies 8 to 12 and XS through to 4XL. PLease post by Monday 10 March and we can then look to place the order later that week.If you want one of the less popular items it may be an idea to check pricing first, through me, as the pricing is dependent on quantities ordered.

Thanks
Richard

Richard-remind me when I next see you to ask you if you know what the rainjacket and windtex coat with removable sleeves are all about?(I should remember myself but thought if I ask you know I've got double the chance!)

Tom these are items on the list of available kit from Decca. I'll ask Decca for fuller descriptions and will post more information quickly.

Hi Tom, from previous query:

The rain coat is made with a windtex membrane and is wind and waterproof. It also features a longer back to protect the lower back area. Others have asked about a rain coat and Decca will send a sample.

Jacket with zip off sleeves, made with technical fibres, and is wind and waterproof with a soft inner lining. Rear zipped pockets with reflective tape on the back. Will obviously be a more expensive item than the regular jacket.

Further details and images can be found online at www.deccasport.com

Regards
Richard

The jacket with zip off sleeves is the same as the winter jacket that many of you already have, taking the sleeves off leaves you with a thick gilet. It's a good bit of kit but pricey, I ordered a few for the RAF guys when I was doing their kit sec job.

Decca do a very good clear rain jacket which allows you to wear a standard jersey underneath, may be worth looking at for you?

I have now received the rain jacket. It is not clear but a solid colour and is a tidy bit of kit. Good fit with a longer tail to take the rain of your back. I'll bring it along to the quiz on Thursday and then drop it off at Friday Club night. Be good to have a rain coat in the club colours.

Just to remind everyone that the deadline for placing your kit orders is 10 March

Can you please advise kit requirements for the next order by close tomorrow please, either by messaging me or posting to this thread.

There seemed to be a fair bit of interest in the rain coat I took up the club on Friday. Again, if anyone wants the coat please advise as above. The more we order the less the price as price is dependent on volumes.

Many thakns
Richard

Chris, in terms of sizling I just checked the link to the Decca web site but unfortunately the sizing guide is currently unavailable. A number of people tried the sample jacket for size on Thursday and Friday and the sizing is consistent with that for their other products. Me, Tom and Wayne all wear medium jerseys and will be ordering the coat in medium.
I think it is medium weight and I'd intend wearing it in the spring and autumn to go over a base layer and short/long sleeve jersey. Others may also wish to comment.
Hope that is helpful.

Just a quick update on the Kit Order which I expected to be here by now.
The order was placed on 16 March and I had confirmation from Decca on 19 March that the order was being progressed. I was advised of a turnaround time of 5-6 weeks. 6 weeks would have been 30 April so it is late. I have been chasing and I'm awaiting an update from the factory in Belgium from my contact in Decca.
Will keep you informed.

The kit order should have been completed this week and it is to be delivered to me mid next week. Will do my best to get it ready for next week but the likelihood is that it will be ready for collection the following week being 30 May.

The order continues to be delayed, I have been chasing. I have now had confirmation that the order has been despatched from the factory in Belgium and will be in the Uk on Friday and then sent out to me. I'm hoping to see it the start of next week. If so I'll then do my best to sort it so it can be collected on Friday 6 June.

The kit order has finally been delivered!! I did have a bit of a scare ths morning. I was on a course today in the Richard Ley Centre (part of the DVLA) in Llansamlet so arranged for the order to be delivered there. I had an email then first thing advising delivery between 9-04 and 10-04, but by late morning no delivery. I then went on line to track the delivery and was shocked to see it had been delivered and signed for at 9-07. It turned out it had been taken to the main DVLA building in Morriston. But the DVLA staff were very helpful in tracking it down for me and getting back to where I was, finally taking safe delivery lunch time.

I'm currently checking the order and will try to sort and mark up to bring up the club for collection tonight, hope that is ok with Mary.

There is club kit in stock. The items we hold in stock are short sleeve jerseys and bib shorts, we just hold the most common sizes as ordered, these are medium and large. The kit is held in the village hall where the club meeting on a Friday but if you cannot get there on a Friday I'm sure we can make other arrangements to get kit to you.
There will be another kit order for the autumn. We order on an individual basis as requested as well as ordering for stock.
